We don't allow emails to be forwarded externally from our servers.

Forwarding to external email accounts will result in the majority of emails being blocked by our outgoing filtering. This will affect your deliverability for all other emails that you send out from your account.

What can I do instead?

Mail Client

All mail clients allow you to retrieve your email directly from your account.

To find the configuration, visit yourdomain.com:2096 and scroll down to the "Mail Client Automatic Configuration Scripts" section. Here you will find pre-configured scripts to help you add your email account to the most popular email clients. You can also find the details for the manual configuration beneath this.

POP Import

Gmail and other email providers offer ways to use POP and IMAP to retrieve emails from your cPanel account and deliver them to your inbox. This is different than forwarding because our server is being asked to send the emails, instead of us forcing spammy emails down their throats.

It's really simple to use POP and IMAP to retrieve your emails from our server. Here are tutorials on how to use this feature on Gmail:

Cloudflare

Cloudflare offers a free email forwarding service.

1. Go to the email page on the Cloudflare dashboard.
2. Select Configure.
3. Enter the email address you want to create (remember, this is for your domain, so you can pick anything you like). Alternatively, you can choose to use a catch-all so that all possible email addresses in your domain are considered valid and forwarded.
4. The DNS configuration step is automatic if you don’t have email configured for your domain. Otherwise, we provide straightforward guidance on how to best configure it for your needs.
5. Lastly, you just need to validate that the destination email belongs to you. Super simple, and exactly the same as you’ve done a million times before.
